CreAbility: Creativity for Capacity building

CreAbility: creativity for capacity building is a project that aims to implement an effective capacity building strategy in the context of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) of fashion, crafts and urban design with three lines of action:

  • FashionAbility - Fashion
  • CraftAbility - Artistic craftsmanship
  • PlaceAbility - Urban Design and architecture for public spaces

CreAbility, developed by ModaCult - Centre for the study of fashion and cultural production, stems from the consolidated expertise of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in the field of CCIs.

The project aims to show how the fashion, craft and design sectors can be places of transformation and potential social change. Working on the entire identified supply chains and their imagery - not only on the material product - the project wants to highlight how these sectors are able to create socially inclusive contents, open and plural identities free of stereotypes.

It also wishes to highlight how training and the acquisition of skills within a supply chain can have an impact and be transferred to adjacent cultural and creative sectors, fostering mutual enrichment.
