The Be-Change project is coming to an end, but the work on research data continues.
On Saturday, March 22nd, at 3:30 PM, at the conference room of the Civic Archaeological Museum of Milan, Cinzia Bearzot and Marco Sannazaro will present their essay "Epidemie e cambiamenti" (Vita e Pensiero, 2025).
The global spread of the Covid-19 pandemic has had significant impacts on health, society, and culture, the consequences of which are still felt today. Understanding the dynamics and upheavals caused by those events and reflecting on how to overcome that critical phase has sparked a broad debate in various scientific fields.
The volume gathers contributions that address historical, epigraphic, and archaeological topics, spanning from prehistory to the Middle Ages. It explores how natural events and epidemics have influenced behaviors in different societies. Special attention is given to the archaeological aspect, with analyses of funerary contexts, skeletons, and objects found in graves, such as coins.
