International Network on Procreative Health
Overview
CeRiSSaP, in the person of Professor Maria Luisa Di Pietro, is the creator and founder of the International Network on Procreative Health (RIUSP). RIUSP is an international academic circuit that includes Departments, Centers or Institutes of Universities of Catholic inspiration, which aims to study the promotion of Health, also procreative, as a fundamental right of every human being. RIUSP adheres to the Edmonton Charter (2005) and endorses the principle by which the university is called to play "a leadership role in contributing to and increasing the health and well-being of society as a whole through collaboration and networking".
Objectives
The objectives of the RIUSP are:
- the promotion of procreative health;
- the creation of action tools for health promotion that improve the well-being of each person and the community;
- the promotion of the common good as a condition for the development of the human person and, therefore, of society;
- university training by focusing on the person and his health, including procreation;
- the promotion of equal opportunities for reproductive health;
- the creation of alliances with public, private and civil society organizations to carry out sustainable actions promoting procreative health;
- Supporting public policy-makers on reproductive health and birth rates.
