The Catholic world for and with migrants. Ten years of good practices to welcome, protect, promote and integrate
On Friday, November 13, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Sala Blacks da Oleggio, the conference entitled The Catholic world for and with migrants will be held. Ten years of good practices to welcome, protect, promote and integrate.
The event promotes a reflection on the commitment of the Catholic world for and with migrants and refugees, bringing into dialogue two crucial and interconnected scenarios: Europe and Africa.
The results of the reports that annually, since 2017, have documented good practices aimed at welcoming, protecting, promoting and integrating, embracing all phases of the migration path, including the freedom to choose whether to migrate or stay, will be presented. The historical series of the Report on the Pastoral Care of Migrants in Europe, promoted by the WWELL Research Centre on behalf of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development of the Holy See, will be accompanied by the presentation of the report on the African context, the Report Human Mobility and Migration in Africa, edited by SIHMA (Scalabrini Institute for Human Mobility in Africa). A transnational perspective that, going beyond the logic of emergency, takes stock of the pastoral challenges and the commitment of Catholic organizations between the two continents, in the framework of integral human development.
