WWELL Centre
WWELL research centre has its roots in a long tradition of attention to the world of work and the construction of an economy at the service of the person; an attention that has been present since the origins of our University, cultivated by illustrious names – first and foremost Blessed Giuseppe Toniolo – and developed over the decades through a constant dialogue between:
- researchers from different disciplinary fields
- theory and operational implications
- academia and subjects of the economy and society.
Formally established in 2010, WWELL brings together a group of professors and researchers engaged in study, training and dissemination on the following topics:
- labour, labour transformations, protection and representation of workers, employment and activation policies, governance of labour markets
- training, training policies, lifelong learning
- welfare systems, the evaluation of public policies, the evolution of health and care needs
- the enterprise and business culture, the company as a social and "political" subject
- human resources management from the perspective of people management, corporate welfare systems, practices for employee well-being and work-life harmony
- policies and practices for gender, generational and ethnic equity, DEI-Diversity Equity and Inclusion practices, the management of active ageing
- the promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities and the enhancement of their potential
- religion and spirituality in work contexts
- Industrial relations systems and the role of trade unions
- social responsibility, sustainability and corporate citizenship, stakeholder management
- differences and inequalities in society and the labour market
- international migration, the processes of employment inclusion and social integration of migrants, the governance of economic migration
- local development, governance of development processes, practices of active citizenship and "co-construction" of development
- the recognition and enhancement of experiential knowledge and learning in informal and non-formal contexts
