The WWELL Centre is pleased to announce that H.E. Rev.ma Msgr. Corrado Lorefice, Archbishop of Palermo, has been elected by the General Assembly of the Italian Bishops' Conference to lead the Episcopal Commission for Migration and the Migrantes Foundation, succeeding Monsignor Gian Carlo Perego, Metropolitan Archbishop of Ferrara-Comacchio. Msgr. Lorefice, among others, will be among the speakers at the final round table of the next edition of the Summer School "Human Mobility and Global Justice", which will take place in Palermo on August 27 at the Aula Magna of the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Sicily "St. John the Evangelist" and which will be entitled "Christian identity in a Europe in an identity crisis". Laura Zanfrini, Scientific Director of the WWELL Center, will speak as a speaker at the Congress of the European Catechesis Team for Encounter and for Peace – "The Conviviality of Differences" – with a report as part of the session entitled "Opportunities and challenges of encounter in today's European contexts. Next Wednesday, May 20, Laura Zanfrini, Scientific Director of the WWELL Center, will give a key lecture entitled "Second generations to whom? The "place" of the children of immigrants in an aging Italy", as part of the opening session of the XVIII National Congress SIMM (Italian Society of Migration Medicine) – "The Italy of tomorrow between new generations, inequalities and health as a common good" –, which will take place at the Department of Law of the University of Brescia. Laura Zanfrini, Scientific Director of the WWELL Center, spoke as a speaker at the round table entitled "Francis. The commitment of a legacy" – with Massimo Reichlin, Mons. Pierangelo Sequeri and Alessandro Zaccuri – which was held on Thursday 7 May at the Ambrosianeum in Milan.

The Diocesan Vigil for Work – On the theme "Dignified work as a path to peace" the interventions of Fr. Walter Magnoni, Francesco Riccardi and Laura Zanfrini, testimonies and the Archbishop's meditation.
