Dr. Marino Pezzolo received his PhD in Global Studies from the University of Urbino in 2025, specializing in Sociology of Economic Processes and Work. Currently, she holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Sociology of Work at the University of Milan and collaborates with the WWELL Research Center of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. He is also involved as a researcher in the European project "PAF! Financial Literacy Program" with the ISMU E.T.S. Foundation, focused on the active participation and socio-economic integration of migrant citizens. Previously, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Naples Federico II where he worked on active ageing in the Italian public health sector.

His research activities focus on the evolution of occupational welfare, with particular attention to the dynamics of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Italian Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). During her studies, she delved into the issues of digitization of welfare services, smart working and work-life balance policies. In 2024 she enriched her international career by working as a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Social Sciences and Business of Roskilde University, Denmark.

He is the author of several publications in national and international scientific journals and contributions in collective volumes. In 2025 he received the "Best Paper by a Young Scholar" award at the ISA RC33 International Conference on Social Science Methodology. He has actively participated in the academic debate as session coordinator in SISEC and ESPAnet conferences, and is regularly engaged in public engagement and scientific dissemination activities on the transformations of contemporary work.
