Dr. Samuele Casartelli is a pedagogist and researcher. He earned his Ph.D. in Sociology, Organizations, and Cultures from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan in 2026, with a dissertation titled Instaurative Ruptures and Social Change in Urban Peripheries: Theoretical Perspectives and Case Studies. At the same university, he collaborates with the WWELL Research Centre and serves as a Subject Expert (cultore della materia) for the courses in General Sociology and Foundations and Methods of Sociology. He is also a collaborator and Subject Expert in Pedagogy of Adolescence at the University of Milano-Bicocca, and holds the position of Vice President of the Borea Social Cooperative.

His research interests lie at the intersection of general pedagogy and the sociology of education, with a particular focus on scientific epistemology, the world of adolescents and youth, mental health, and the dynamics of urban peripheries. Among his most recent publications are the article Epistemological Issues on the Encounter between Medicine and Pedagogy in Mental Health: Bayesian Suggestions and the study Urban Regeneration and Social Mending Through Art: Evidence from a Mosaic-Based Educational Intervention in a Deprived Suburb of Rome.
