Anderson Fabry disease

Anderson-Fabry disease is a rare genetic condition characterized by an extremely variable clinical picture. To investigate this hereditary genetic disease, the School of Specialization in Medical Genetics and the Center for Research and Studies on Procreative Health (CeRISSaP) of Università Cattolica have promoted a conference on the Rome campus together with the Paul VI International Scientific Institute and the Italian Anderson Fabry Association.

Presentation

The research center on procreative health

CeRiSSaP's attention is mainly focused on three areas: promotion of procreative health in its various forms (enhancement of preconceptional health, promotion of appropriate lifestyles, health education), clinical research on fertility (factors that influence fertility, preservation of fertility in the presence of oncological diseases) and prevention and containment of food insecurity (malnutrition, access to food resources, prevention of nutrition-related chronic diseases). The Centre is engaged in intensive research, clinical consultancy and training, both nationally and internationally.
