I-LAMP Prize 2024

I-Lamp Master Graduate award: Elena Rolfi and Mattia Andrini

Elena Rolfi graduated in Physics with a Master’s thesis entitled “Strategie di funzionalizzazione di strati di grafene per sensori chemiresistivi e basati sui FET”. Her work focused on the use of graphene for gas sensing applications, in particular on improving its selectivity towards specific gases such as ammonia and nitrogen dioxide.

Mattia Andrini graduated in Physics with a Master’s thesis focused on the optical properties of nanoplastics and their characterization at nanometric scales. His research proposed a model to reproduce optical spectra based on the refractive index and morphology of the material, tested on standardized polystyrene nanoparticles. He is currently a PhD student in Science, continuing the work developed during his Master’s thesis.
