Research

Research at I-LAMP focuses on the advanced investigation of quantum and nanostructured materials through ultrafast spectroscopy, cutting-edge photoemission techniques, state-of-the-art microscopy, and time-resolved optical methods. The center’s expertise ranges from controlling nonequilibrium states in correlated materials to developing new multidimensional approaches for probing decoherence processes, as well as designing and characterizing functional nanomaterials and thin films.

Interdisciplinarity is central to I-LAMP’s mission: condensed matter physics, ultrafast optics, materials science, quantum mechanics, and synchrotron-based techniques converge in a highly collaborative and international research environment. I-LAMP works closely with leading laboratories worldwide, developing advanced instrumentation and contributing to the forefront of research on unconventional superconductors, strongly correlated systems, disordered quantum materials, and nanoparticle-based functional applications.
