Conference: Jazz, Communication and Culture
The Center for Studies and Research in the Psychology of Communication (PSICOM), in collaboration with the Department of Psychology and the Department of Communication and Performing Arts Sciences, is pleased to announce the conference "Jazz, communication and culture", which will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 11.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m., in the Aula Pio XI of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan (Largo A. Gemelli, 1).
The meeting, organized with the contribution of the Claudio Abbado Civic School of Music, will explore jazz not only as a musical form, but as a cultural and communicative matrix, capable of generating shared experiences, creative processes and new urban visions.
The day will alternate theoretical reflections, empirical research and musical performances, with the involvement of scholars, musicians and professionals in the sector. Among the topics covered: jazz as relational music, a laboratory for organizations, a space for experiential and slow learning to reinterpret the cultural transformations of cities.
The program will end with a dialogue between Carlo Galimberti and maestro Enrico Intra.
With the musical contribution of Paolo Tomelleri
