Statute

From the statute: 

ART. 1  (ESTABLISHMENT) 

1. The "Centre for Studies and Research in the Psychology of Communication (PSICOM)", hereinafter referred to as the Centre, is hereby established at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, hereinafter referred to as Università Cattolica, on the proposal of the Faculty of Psychology. 

2. The Centre carries out its activities at the Milan campus and, in order to carry out its activities, makes use of the laboratory and research facilities of the Department of Psychology, the Faculty of Psychology, the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, the Graduate School of Psychology "Agostino Gemelli" (ASAG) and the Graduate School of Media, Communication and Performing Arts (ALMED). 

3. The centre shall have a duration of four academic years, renewable. 

4. The Rector represents the centre in relation to third parties. 

ART. 2  (ESTABLISHMENT PURPOSE) 

1. The main purpose of the center is to promote and carry out basic and applied scientific activities in the various fields pertinent to the psychology of communication; The research activity may also be carried out with the collaboration of university professors and researchers from other universities and personalities of high scientific or professional qualification. 

2. In order to achieve the purposes referred to in the previous paragraph and to disseminate the results achieved in the research, the Centre shall propose to: a) promote seminars, conferences, debates, meetings, including international meetings;  

b) promote training activities;  

c) promote the publication of the results of the research carried out;  

d) participate in research projects announced by national and international bodies and organizations.
