Mission

The main purpose of CERITIN is to promote translational and clinical scientific activities to promote the development of knowledge and the expansion in the clinical use of integrated therapies in breast cancer; The research activity will also be carried out with the collaboration of professors and researchers from other universities and personalities of high national and international profile, along three fundamental lines:

•  The further validation of complementary non-pharmacological therapies, useful for reducing the side effects of oncological therapies and preserving the state of psycho-physical well-being;
• The conduct of clinical trials to define the impact of lifestyle modulation (physical activity, nutrition, sleep) on adherence to cancer therapies and in the prevention of recurrences
• The promotion of scientific studies to investigate the role of the microbiota in the pathogenesis, therapeutic response and progression of breast cancer.
