Loneliness is a growing problem in Europe, affecting millions of people and undermining individual well-being and community cohesion.
The European Union has placed this issue at the center of its social agenda. In fact, to address this challenge, Lonely-EU – an international project entitled “The Social Isolation and Loneliness in Europe Network: Evidence-Based Policy Recommendations on its Causes, Consequences, and Monitoring – will kick off in February 2025.
