About the Research center
CRiSSMA (Center of Research on the Southern System and the Wider Mediterranean) is a Research Center of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore - Milan, Italy, founded in 1998. It collaborates, in particular, with the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences and the Department of Political Science.
Aims of the Center
The main aims of CRiSSMA are both fundamental and applied research.
Its objective is to promote research and understanding of historical-cultural problems, particular emphasis being given to political-institutional, social-economic and strategic issues of the Mediterranean region and its neighbouring areas.
The CRiSSMA's expertise is international in its perspective, drawing considerable experience from both field-research and its high-level contacts in loco.
Our expertise covers a vast range of international strategic and cultural issues referring to the Mediterranean region and its neighbourhood. These include in particular:
