What we eat and with whom we eat it, what we buy and where we buy it tell a lot about each of us. Every day we are influenced by several factors in our food choices: factors we are unaware of and automatic, beyond our control, such as mood, prejudices, emotions, false beliefs.

On the occasion of World Food Day, which is celebrated on Sunday 16 October, Professor Patrizia Catellani talks about the relationship between social identity and food choices, and how thanks to social psychology - which identifies and explains the factors influencing eating behaviors - it is possible to carry out effective communication campaigns for the promotion of healthy and sustainable diets, in harmony with recipients' psychosocial characteristics.
