Autumn PhD Research Seminar

3-7 September 2018 - Milan

The Autumn 2018 CHEI PhD research seminar on internationalisation of higher education will be held 3-7 September in Milan at the Università Cattolica campus in Via Carducci. The seminar is aimed at current and prospective doctoral students at CHEI as well as doctoral students enrolled in other programmes with an interest in internationalisation of higher education.

Location of the seminar

The seminar will take place on the campus of University Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, at Via Carducci 28/30

The cost of the seminar is EUR 500 including tax. This cost covers all seminar sessions, coffee breaks, and the CHEI dinner. It does not cover accommodation, travel costs or any other expenses that might be incurred. Enrolment will be confirmed via email once payment has been made.

Seminar payment exceptions: Università Cattolica PhD students are exempt from payment.

Bios and photo

All participants are required to submit a short bio and a photograph by 25 July. See detailed information here.


There are various hotels near the campus e.g. B&B Hotel Milano Sant’Ambrogio, Via degli Olivetani 4, and Hotel Palazzo delle Stelline, Corso Magenta 61.

Spring PhD Research Seminar

19-23 March 2018 - Brescia

The Spring 2018 CHEI research seminar on internationalisation of higher education took place 19-23 March 2018 at the Centro Paolo VI in Brescia, near Milan.


Apart from addressing aspects of PhD research and writing a doctoral thesis, the seminar offered sessions on the latest developments in the internatonalisation of higher education.
