Perspectives is a series published by the Center for International Higher Education (CIHE) at Boston College. Each issue contains papers and articles on specific aspects of IHE. Lifestyle in Mobility: Study Abroad Health Behaviours while Adjusting to Other Cultures


A two-year research project (2015-2017) studying students' health and risk behaviours whilst on study abroad or exchange programmes, with a context of previous behaviours and behaviours upon return from abroad.   

The project was funded by the European Foundation for Alcohol Research (ERAB), and undertaken by Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in partnership with Cardiff University and the international student association AEGEE-Europe.

It is continuously updated and issues a monthly communication about new additions which users can subscribe to. IDP also invites submission for inclusion in the database.

International Briefs for Higher Education Leaders

International Briefs for Higher Education Leaders is published as a collaboration between the Boston College Center for International Higher Education (CIHE) and the American Council of Education (ACE). The series is designed to present an overview of issues that affect international higher education. Each Brief contains material by scholars, practitioners and policymakers aimed at informing IHE leaders, as a source of information to use in strategic planning and implementation.

Brief No. 6 (2016), "Engaging with Europe: enduring ties, new opportunities" contains material by CHEI faculty Fiona Hunter, co-authoring with Hans de Wit, founding director of CHEI (stepping down in September 2015) and CHEI Scientific Committee member. It also contains material by CHEI Scientific Committee member Giancarlo Spinelli.
